We created "The Green Shield" super hero mini-figure with accompanying "Green Shield" comic book to be offered to customers who opened an M&T Starter Savings Account for their children.
Innovation presentation
M&T Bank created The Green Shield as a fun way to teach children about saving money and to inspire financial literacy among families in the communities we serve. This hero has an important mission to fulfill—his story will provide an easy-to-understand tool to help parents teach their children about money.
Uniqueness of the project
In doing competitive research we found that no other banks were offering a mini action figure and comic book as an incentive to get children interested in saving.
