Now with Santander all SMEs can take advantage of all the benefits from Subscription Economy. We have launched a new experimental but yet powerful platform in collaboration with SSTRATEGY (expert in payments management) so that the merchants/Businesses that have recurring billing transform their business into subscriptions via SEPA Direct Debit or Credit Cards. Businesses that haven't dealt with subscriptions yet but are curious or potential for that end are welcome. In fact Santander SME Innovation team has screened already industries and customers that might be already participating. The platform is not a technological concept but a business model innovation concept. The business development team approaches our SMEs in a counseling way helping the customer to devise the best plans and strategy for growth. Studies support that recurring revenue can double forecasted revenue between 2 to 5x if subscriptions plans are designed correctly and if customer behaviour is addressed towards this new way of purchasing. Current businesses that manage recurrent charges get rid of all the operational hassle that costs so much.
Customer engagement also increases and if retention is managed for the first year of subscription then, it is gold for the merchant and convenience for the customer in price and effort.
Our flag customer for the experiment was the franchise chain company OhMyCut. quickly converting standard value proposition to 4 - 5 subscription plans for their services.
