Data is the group of realities (numbers, words, measurements, observations, etc) which were transformed into a form that it can be processed by computers. Data management, on the other hand, is the set of policies implemented to ensure the institutional management of data available in a business institution or an Organization.
Today, with the change in the corporate governance structure and together with the effect of the constantly developing service model, data management has gained a very important dimension in order to be adapted to the change more easily. If the data may be ensured to be managed in a correct and proper way it becomes the most valuable asset of a Corporation.
Uniqueness of the project
Ziraat Bank has created a unique and a specific “Business Dictionary” in order to collect and process data in a single standard, present it and use it in all processes.
The business dictionary is a dictionary in which the data used in our bank's daily operations and processes are defined in a clear, precise and understandable way, the business rules of that data are shown, the analyzes are made, and the methodological unity of the data has been created. Thanks to this dictionary, it is aimed that the data can be easily understood by all employees who read it.
Thanks to the business dictionary, data is collected in a single standard, processed, presented and used in processes. A common data understanding between units was provided by creating a reference in business dictionary data analysis, evaluation and reporting. With the business dictionary, it will be possible to access data more conveniently, easily and quickly. It is aimed to provide fastest access to data, as well as compatibility and effective use of data management in the use of data.
